Designing for QI

The HVAC Quality Installation (QI) standard requires an initial system design based on correct procedures developed by the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA). Understanding proper load calculation and duct design, and knowing how to use software the right way, is key to ensuring a quality system installation.

If you prefer classroom learning, you can choose to participate in a 3-day class sponsored by ACCA to receive your 5-year certificate in residential HVAC design. Classes are held at ACCA headquarters in Virginia.
